Obituary

Henry Grady Faulk, Jr., age 91, of Grapevine, formerly of Tyler, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the mid-afternoon hours of Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Dancing River Assisted Living in Grapevine. Grady was born on April 8, 1921 in Brighton, Colorado to Henry Grady and Margaret L. Faulk, who preceded him in death. He graduated from John Tyler High School, attended Tyler Junior College, Texas A&M University, and earned his Bachelor and Master Degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University. Henry Grady Faulk, Jr., age 91, of Grapevine, formerly of Tyler, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the mid-afternoon hours of Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Dancing River Assisted Living in Grapevine. Grady was born on April 8, 1921 in Brighton, Colorado to Henry Grady and Margaret L. Faulk, who preceded him in death. He graduated from John Tyler High School, attended Tyler Junior College, Texas A&M University, and earned his Bachelor and Master Degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University. Grady served in the United States Army in World War II and in the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Army Reserves with the rank of Major.

Following his military career, Grady taught in the Tyler Public Schools and at Tyler Junior College, but spent most of his career in various executive positions in the medical field before retiring from the UT Health Center at Tyler.
Grady was an active member of Marvin United Methodist Church, Marvin Bible Class, and the Willow Brook Country Club. He often taught Intermediate and Adult Sunday School Classes and served on various church boards.

Grady is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Suzanne F. and Tim Baldree of Stephenville, son and daughter-in-law, Michael B. and Sandra I. McKinney of Colleyville; and grandsons, Matthew and Bradley McKinney.
Grady was also preceded in death by his loving wife Sara Bess McKinney Faulk.

Services for Henry Grady Faulk, Jr. will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Lloyd James Funeral Home with Rev. Gerry Giles officiating. Visitation will be held at 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
