Henry Jackson "Jack" Hubler, 96, of Clearfield passed away on February 13, 2013 at Clearfield Colonial Courtyard Senior Living Residence.

Jack was born on November 30, 1916, in Clearfield, the son of Luther M. and Alice (Bolton) Hubler.

He was a 1936 graduate of the Clearfield Area High School.

Jack was a U.S. Army veteran having served in WW II and a member of the 190 F.A. group as a Staff Sergeant and was deployed to England and fought in the western European theater. He was employed by Pennsylvania Electric and worked at the Shawville power plant for 34 years, retiring in 1979. He was also employed by Clearfield Bank and Trust on a part time basis.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Clearfield and served as an ordained Deacon. He was a member of the John Lewis Shade Post #6 of the American Legion and a life member of B.P.O. of Elks Club #540. He was a very family oriented man and an avid hunter.

Jack is survived by a step-son, Robert W. Rishel, of Clearfield, two grandsons; Robert M. Rishel and his wife Suzanne, of Yorktown Heights, NY and David R. Rishel and his wife Laurena Stoddard, of Yardley, PA, four great grandchildren; Timothy and Kevin of NY and Alexandra and Henry Jackson of Yardley and a brother, L. Albert Hubler, of Clearfield.

Mr. Hubler was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jean R. (Roseberry) Rishel Hubler whom he married November 27, 1946 and who passed away November 17, 2009, two brothers; Arthur and Calvin Hubler and three sisters; Marie Milliron, Dorothy Temple and Ella Mae Barr.

Funeral services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Robert Mellgard and Mr. Richard Barkley co-officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and the VFW Post #1785 Honor Guard.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the services.

The Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #540 will conduct a service on Sunday at 4:45P.M.
