Bubba Scott was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He touched countless lives through his 25 years of service as Executive Director of the Alabama High School Athletic Association (1966 – 1991) and as head football coach both at Samford University (1963 – 1965) and Haleyville High School (1958 – 1962). He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dot Scott. He is survived by his sons, Michael L. (Angela) Scott of Birmingham, and H. Al (Billie) Scott of Montgomery; grandchildren, Susan Scott (Alexander) Carothers, Laura Scott (Phillip) Young, Lee Scott (Grant) Jackson and Allison Scott and great-grandchild, Alexander Scott Carothers.
