This year marks the 65th anniversary of the end of World War II, perhaps the last time America can say "Thank you!" to our greatest generation for preserving our democracy and establishing the gold standard of service that will inspire future generations.
"Keep the Spirit of '45 Alive" is a yearlong national campaign to raise public awareness about the 65th anniversary of World War II (August 14, 2010) and to inspire a renewed commitment to service and national unity in America.

I remember hearing stories about the day the war ended from my grandfather. He was one of the brave men and women who served our country during WWII. His willingness to lay down his life for our great country was evident with the injuries he suffered during the war. I honor him and all of the "Great Generation" who served this country.
