Manuel Homero Alban, age 76, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in Katy. He was the husband of America Alban, with whom he recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He was father to Marjorie Alban-Flores, James Alban, and Edison Alban, father in-law to Louis Flores and Marlene Alban, and grandfather to Annette Flores, Corey Alban, and Estee Alban.

Born in, Portoviejo, Ecuador, son of the late Ciro Alejandro Alban and Ana Maria Zambrano. He emigrated from Ecuador to the United States and resided in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts before moving to Katy, Texas seven years ago.

Homero was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He lived his life for the service of others, and was a true humanitarian. He will be remembered for his love, generosity, and thirst for life. His biggest accomplishments in life were to see his family prosper and succeed, and to see his grandchildren grow. His grandchildren loved him dearly for his cheerfulness, caring, and his penchant for always pleasing them with special treats.

He inspired all of us to become better human beings, and to keep God in our hearts.

Manuel Homero Albán, 76 años, falleció el martes, 16 de noviembre del 2010, en Katy, TX. Don Homero fue el esposo de América Albán, con quien celebró recientemente su 50 aniversario de bodas. Él era el padre de Marjorie Albán-Flores, James Albán y Edison Albán, suegro de Luis Flores y Marlene Albán, y el abuelo de Annette Flores, Corey, y Estee Alban.

Nació en, Portoviejo, Ecuador, hijo del fallecido Ciro Alejandro Albán y Ana María Zambrano. Emigró desde Ecuador hacia los Estados Unidos y residió en Nueva York, Nueva Jersey y Massachusetts antes de mudarse a Katy, Texas, hace siete años.

Homero era un marido devoto, padre, abuelo y amigo. Vivió su vida al servicio de los demás, y era un verdadero humanitario. Él será recordado por su amor, la generosidad, y la sed de vida. Sus mayores logros en la vida fueron el ver a su familia prosperar y tener éxito, y el ver a sus nietos crecer. Sus nietos lo querían mucho por su buen humor, el cuidado, y su inclinación de siempre complacerlos con obsequios especiales.
