COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Horace Edwin “Win” Williams, 59, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Chapin with reception immediately following service at the church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park at a later date. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.



Mr. Williams died Monday, January 23, 2017. Born on May 25, 1957 in Columbia, he was a son of the late Horace Edwin Williams and Jacquelynne Krell Williams.



He attended Wofford College, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha, and he graduated from University of South Carolina, where he was a member of Sigma Nu. He was co-founder of Island Car Wash, Hilton Head Island, where he met his first wife, Mary-Ellen Williams. Win was on the Board of a family owned business, Dixie Electronics. He was a member of Sertoma of Columbia, where he met his late wife, Suzanne Sipe Williams. He had a passion for boating and being on the water and had a tremendous love of animals. His greatest pride and joy is his daughter, Michel. His big smile and infectious laugh will be missed by all.



Surviving are his daughter, Michel Williams of Charlotte, N.C.; step sons, Ben Hiott and Mark Hiott both of Atlanta, G.A.; sister, Shea W. Wall (John) of Columbia; nieces, Chevis Fogarty (Marc), Taylor Gepper (John) both of Columbia.



In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Mary-Ellen Williams; and his second wife, Suzanne Sipe Williams.



Memorials may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 735 Old Lexington Highway, Chapin, SC 29036.
