Howard Ray Anderson, 85, of Duluth, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013. He was born in 1928 to Victor and Mildred Anderson.
Howard was united in marriage to Lorraine, his loving wife of 58 years and together they raised 3 loving children; Linda (John) Swenson of Holyoke, MN, Suzanne Harrison of Dunedin, FL, and Greg (Karen) Anderson of Coon Rapids, MN. He is further survived by his loving grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Nelson, John (Lindze) Swenson, Trevor and Colin Harrison, and Jackson, Austen, and Tristen Anderson and great-grandchildren, Joseph and Nathan Nelson and Alliyson Swenson.
The family would like to thank Dr. Christian and the nurses at St. Luke's Hospital, including the ER, Dr. George Jennings of Essentia Health in Hermantown, St. Luke's Hospice crew and Gentiva crew for their loving care. Thank you also to Pastor Kathy of Peace Church and Janell Kohls for their visits and good food, Gary and Sis Moe for keeping the driveway and sidewalks clear, especially this winter, and all the others who offered help and support in many ways by calling, sending cards and food and visiting during Howard's long illness. Howard enjoyed visiting Nicci and the crew at Casa Latte for good food, coffee, and gelato. Thank you for the years of caring service and welcoming us in a place where love grows and made Howard's journey and Lorraine's caregiving easier with the many nice people we met. Also, thanks to Mac's Landscaping for their support, concern, and help and Cheryl and Denise for giving Lorraine a chance to get out and regroup. The family has many warm and happy memories.
In respect for Howard's wishes, there will be no service.
