Howard H. Brown, 78, of Pontiac Avenue, Cranston passed away December 27, 2010. He was the husband of Ann (Baffaro) Brown for 55 years.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Isaac "Ike" and Bertha (Spitznagle) Brown.
Howard was a machine operator for R.I. Insulated Wire for 37 years before retiring. He was also a Veteran of the Korean War.
He was the father of Shirley Brown and Jean Conforti; grandfather of Krystal Gabrielle, Stephen Coffey and Chelsea and Briana Perry and great grandfather of Gianna Gabrielle. He was also the brother of John, Mabel (who raised Howard after his parents passed), Ruth, Nina, Elmer, Martha, Chester, Julia, Royal and Isaac III.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 am in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a service in the funeral home at 10:00 am. Burial to follow in R.I. Veteran's Cemetery. VISITATION WEDNESDAY 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. www.romanofuneralhome.com

Auntie Anna, Shirley, and Jeannie: I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Uncle Howie.. I adored him.. He was a wonderful man . He taught me all about music and old movies and I have wonderful memories. He took me to see the Sound of Music the first day it came out.. He was spiritual, honest and a loyal family man. He will be forever missed. I am out of state until late Friday so I am unable to attend but know I am there in spririt. Thank you for sharing him with me. Love, Debbie
