We only had the honor of knowing Howard a short time of his life, but he was so gracious and made us feel very comforatble in his presence. You could tell he was an honorable man and his family meant everything to him. He is sitting at the side of our great Lord smiling down upon his family with great pride. He will be missed by so many.
Our Deepest Sympathy

Howard was one of the first older guys I met after moving to Clearwater in 1947. He made a great impression on me at age 12 that NEVER faded since that Sunday afternoon "sandlot" football game on the Seitz lot on Jones Street.
Best wishes to Jean and the family.

We were very sorry to hear about Mr Hamilton's passing. Although we did not know him we are regular visitors to the Palm Inn from Souderton, PA during Spring Training and have met his son Ken. He will be missed but his legacy lives on in his family.

I was fortunate to grow up next to the Hamiltons and to say Howard was a success is not about the money and stuff but to look at his family and how they all ended up as people. A true class act in the old school way. God Bless Jean and the family.

Howard and the family would likely not remember me by name, but I continue to remember them as important in my life. In the summer of 1972 I became part of what was at that time the entrepreneural business of Hawaiian Tropic Suncare. South Beach Pavilion was among the first places our products were sold in the Tampa Bay Area. Mr. Hamilton was willing to give young entrepreneurs a chance and willing to let us use his place of business as home base for giving out samples. I have great memories of some of the best summers of my life with sandy feet and a hamburger in hand while I watched the work ethics of the Hamilton family in action. I cherish those memories and wish the family joy in the memories of Howard.

My deepest condolences and prayers to the Hamilton Family.
Howard had a tremendous impact on my life as a young man and throughout my adult life. I worked for Howard while I was in High school, some would call a young man's dream job! Howard intervened on my behalf on more than one occasion; I was broke and alone during the Christmas Holiday while attending College in Virginia 1978, I wrote Mr H. and asked if I could work for him during the College breaks. He asked me why I was still up in Virginia and I told him I had no way home. Without having to ask him, he sent me 250.00 to get home that Christmas. He helped me finance my first Car. Mr. H advised me on numerous occasions as my career was developing.
I am just one of many, many young Men and Women Howard Hamilton has influenced.
There is a reason for the Hamilton's success; it can be summed up in one word…Service.
Service to God, Family and fellow Man.
Mrs. H (Gene), Kenny, Dale, Hoyt and Wade may God continue his blessings on your family and extended Family.

I will always recall with great fondness the several hours Howard and I spent riding around one afternoon on an impromptu journey back to the Clearwater of his youth. He sensed my interest in local history..."the old days"...and with obvious delight brought it to life, through detailed and colorful recollections of a simpler time starting when his ancestors rode into Florida from Georgia on horseback seeking a new place to call home. His sharing interesting personal experiences and observations made over a lifetime here offered a special insight into a very smart, accomplished and gracious man. Howard did not suffer fools, but his integrity, honesty and kind heart made him a person one would be honored to call friend...you are missed, my friend.

Knowing that Mr. Hamilton is in a wonderful place now certianly helps, yet the pain of losing him is very real to those who knew and loved him, especially his family. My thoughts are with all of the Hamilton family and my sincere condolences. Mr Hamilton along with the love of his life (lovingly known as "Queen Jean")raised four wonderful sons that I am happy to know as friends. Each unique in their personalities yet intertwined with the warmth, kindness and generosity of their wonderful father.....a very special man.
