H. B. "Barry" Lux
LEXINGTON - H. B. "Barry" Lux, 82, passed away on June 13, 2017. Born in Chicago, IL but spent his childhood in Virginia. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. He volunteered as Alter Server for Catholic Chapel 10, Fort Jackson, SC, while serving two years in the military Barry received a Business Administration degree from V P I and was an independent dealer with Amerada Hess Corporation for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Swygert Lux and three children, Susan Ray (Harry), Thomas (Vickie), John D. (Wendy) and three grandchildren, Mary Katherine Ray, Lauren Lux, and Hayden Lux. He is also survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Patton, Joan Miller (Alvin), Catherine Lux, Susan Stanton, brother, John J. Lux (Gail) and lovely and gracious nieces and nephews.
Barry led an interesting, active life of outdoor activities which always included family and friends. His great love of Lake Murray will be remembered.
A Memorial Mass for H.B. "Barry" Lux will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Visitation will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall. Memorials may be made to C C C Building Fund, Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2350 Augusta Hwy., Lexington, SC, 29072.Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
