Deepest sympathy to Marion and the family. I spent many years listening to Hugh share fond stories about his family, trips to the beach, and going to yard sales. Hugh was a kind father-figure to all he supervised and will truly be missed.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of the best teachers I have ever had. Mr. Faulkner was a kind, gentle, and wonderful spirit who always made learning easy and a fun thing. I am sure that his family will miss him dearly, and I am also sure that he leaves his family with nothing but wonderful loving memories to cherish.

My dear Faulkner Family (Mrs. Marion, Celeste, Elizabeth, Deborah):
I am just speechless! I'm also filled with so much tremendous grief & sorrow in the loss of your dad, husband, & my beloved, respected friend, Mr. Hugh Martin Faulkner! It feels like I have lost my father (my 2nd dad) all over again! I am so very disappointed, that I could not have had the priviledge & the shear pleasure of a recent visit with him, before he left us all. Maybe I would wish tell him myself how much I loved him, or to just to say "thanks for everything you've been to me". Words cannot even begin to scratch the surface of what this great man has meant to me & my life.
I know that my feeble words cannot heal a heart that is crushed, or return a loved one that has been lost. Yet, I just want you all to know of my earnest love for each of you! I stand, side-by-side with your family, in my own mourning of this great loss. As I've heard it said before, "I guess GOD just needed him more up there, than we do down here". And, after all, I'm quite certain that the ALMIGHTY has his hands full, tonight, tomorrow, & the next thousand years, with all the vintage monkey business that good, Ole Hugh will muster! . . Not to mention his good buddy, Lance Grissett spurring him on!
You will remain in my prayers, Faulkners! RIP, my great friend, Hugh! I love you partner!

Dear, dear Marion, Celeste, Elizabeth and Deborah, I'm grieving with you knowing my (our) dear friend Hugh Martin Faulkner will not be in our presence on this earth any longer...I loved him so much, as did my husband Lance and our children Rod, Scott and Cece and Angi. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him--so loved and respected by ALL!! He, Lance and Angi (as well as other family members) are as happy as can be in the presence of Jesus and wouldn't return to this earth for anything, however, they will be waiting for us to join them when God knows His plan for each of us has been completed--what a wonderful day that will be. I love each of you and pray that God will hold you in His loving arms, giving you His perfect peace and comfort. Always, Elizabeth
