Hugh Olson, Jr., 84, of Texarkana, TX passed way December 19, 2011 in a local hospital. Mr. Olson was born October 26, 1927 in Meridian, TX. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and a member of Cement Mason Local 25 of California.
Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-laws, Danny Ray Olson of Texarkana, TX, Hugh and Margaret Olson, III of Scotts Valley, CA, Sidney Lee and Zonnie Mangum of Texarkana, AR and James Larry Mangum of West Virginia; daughters, Vickie Ladell Stewart of Texarkana, AR and Sheri Darlene Sullivan of Genoa, AR; brother, Thomas Olson of Rosebud, TX; a number of grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Rev. Kenny Polk officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
The family will be at 110 Melton St., Texarkana, TX. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the funeral home.
