Dear Mrs. Brodie,

My husband worked with Ian back Lancaster in 1974 & my uncle was Kenny Kaye. We would like to extend our deepest sympathy in your loss. We remember Ian being a real card & we like him very much. I can remember loosing my purse one time & it was Ian who called to say someone had turned it in. We do not live in Lancaster & have been up in Barrie for the past 36 years. We just wanted to extend our sympathy on your loss,

Heavy heart to hear this news. Ian was a family man - he LOVED you all so deeply. He bragged about each of you. Ian was a magnetic community-builder. There is one honor Ian received, that is given to very few people; https://charityvillage.com/Content.aspx?topic=it_s_just_time&last=163
It was well earned. While I was Unit Manager, Ian showed his courage, his ability to bring new volunteers in to work. Anyone who knew Ian knew he turned volunteering into fun. Ian, you've been in my prayers. Now that I know you are Upstairs having fun, I'll pray for comfort for your family. Knowing full well they will all internalize the courage, playful spirit, and millions of wonderful memories of an exceptional man. Sorry my health doesn't allow me to drive to give my personal condolence  Know my heart & prayers are with you. Fondly, Janie
