GARRITANO, IDA
With prayer and love, surrounded by her family, Ida, in her 80th year, peacefully passed on December 17, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Giovanni Garritano (1984). Loving mother of Frank, Claire Bruno (Mario), Sara Niro (Renato), Mary Grimaldi, (Carlos), Joseph (Nadine), Louie (Linda). Proud Nana to Jamie & Anna, Robert, Antonio & Carmela, Gianni & Stephanie, Anthony, Dante, John, Diana, Victoria, Julian, Julia, Joey, Jonathan and Vanessa. Dear Bisnonna to Cristian and Matteo. Ida will be sadly missed by her many relatives and friends in Calabria, Canada and United States. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 9 pm at the Jerrett Funeral Home (660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough). Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church (717 Kennedy Road, Scarborough) on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. Donations, in Ida's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Just heard about your loss and sending our deepest condolences. Loss of a mother/grandmother is a hard, hard thing but they sure do leave a lasting impression and many memories of laughter and love. Ida must have been a true gem for she raised such a fine and descent man like you, Joe.You are a reflection of her hard work, dedication and love.
