Inga L. Veley, 93, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Yakima, WA. She was born on October 18, 1923 in Keene, North Dakota to Erling and Alma (Olson) Garmann.
She married the love of her life Carl Leon Veley. He preceded her in death in 1985. The family lived in a number of places including theYakima Valley, Seattle, Walla Walla, Sun City West, AZ and Depoe Bay, OR. Inga helped support the family by working in fabric, home decor and fashion for such department stores as J.J. Newberry and Bealls.
Inga's interests included sewing, knitting, crafting and playing pinochle with family and friends. She was quite the seamstress, sewing many beautiful outfits over the years that her family was always proud to wear. Inga also enjoyed knitting afghans, she made one special for each member of the family to treasure always.
The family was blessed to have had and will try to emulate her devotion she gave to her husband and family. Thank you for being the best mother, grandmother and friend. We are at peace knowing that you are now with your beloved Carl and your spirit will be with us always .
She is survived by her children: Carolyn Veley; Donna (Rick) Veley, David (Diana) Veley; Yvonne (Tom) Veley and 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Inga was preceded in death by her husband, 5 sisters, 1 brother and granddaughter Inga Paasch.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am, Saturday, June 24th at Terrace Heights Cemetery. Memorial contributions in honor of Inga can be sent to your local VFW or to a charity of your choice. To share a memory please visit www.keithandkeith.com.

Such a beautiful woman inside and out. I cherish fond memories of her and the beautiful blanket she made me so many years ago. My heart goes out to the family during this sad time. Hugs to all of you.
