Ira Allen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 30, 2015.

Don't think of him as gone away
his journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.

I was lucky enough to meet Ira and Diana in early 2013. Although we met through business, we instantly became friends. I remember the first time we went to dinner and how he was heckling the poor innocent waitress we had. Then we went to dinner again and he did the same thing! Lunches, no surprise same thing. He always knew how to brighten up a total strangers day when they needed it the most. I can close my eyes right now and hear his voice; I hope that never goes away. He taught me a lot in our short time together - mostly about how to live a peaceful life. I am so grateful our paths crossed and I can't wait to see you again someday buddy! The world needs more Ira Allen's. Love ya! -Danny Boy

Diana, Family and Lucky: I reconnected with Ira after many years and we reminisced about our years ago friendship which included my husband BJ - Although sick, Ira was the same as ever - so jovial, and happy and mind provoking as well! He was a blessing to us all and will be missed. God bless. He wanted my doggies to meet Lucky but it never happened! I know Lucky misses his Daddy too!...XX

April 11, 2015

Hello, I have just learned of Ira's death. I am his first cousin, Niela Miller. I have not seen Ira since 1991 when my mother, his aunt Sylvia, died and he invited me to come down to Florida from the Northeast for comfort and mutual grieving. I tried maintaining the contact after that, but we drifted apart. I remember many happy holiday occasions our families spent together during our childhood.
My condolences to his large family.

Had not seen Ira in many years but thought of him often when I drove down Atlantic Blvd. His friend, Lee Carter, would be saddened by his death. We lost Lee on March 2, 2015.

Ira was a great friend and mentor. The successes that I have achieved in the sales world would never have happened without the amazing Road to the Sale training and constant grooming by Ira. I will never be able to repay him for what he did for me and my family. God brought a great one home!!! Love you Ira

The man that was full of life will continue on in the lives that he touched along his journey. What a great Friend, Mentor, and the Brotherly bond that he bestowed upon our relationship. Ira was the man that would share his his opinion and advice to those who could handle the truth and have the desire to improve their lives. As Ira would say you have two choices HAPPY / NOT HAPPY For that I was blessed to have had such an awesome friend. I'll never forget the Blue Ridge Parkway Ripping along Ira passes a group of motorcycles at a pretty good clip ( Kinda Freaked Them Out) so we stopped about 5 miles up the road to take a break and that group pulled over to explain to that young man on the Honda that he better slow it down if he was gonna make to a ripe old age ... Ira proceeded to remove his full face helmet and said he keep that in Mind. Told him he'd probably ought'a pick up the pace.
We Love and Miss you Ira Everett & Nick

Ron and Mary Seaman

Oh the stories I could share on Ron's behalf. Upon reflection of their many years of friendship, Ron said Ira has always been the person who could provide a level headed prospective in any situation. Ron would listen to Ira's suggestions.......then just do it his way, which usually ended badly.
Ira obviously has good taste! His beautiful wife, choice of friends and one Lucky dog are the proof!

In April 2012 I purchased my very first bike from Allen's Motorsports, a 2007 limited blue with white stripe Suzuki Bulevard m109r. He and his crew made sure I received the best bike that would fit my personality and more importantly he made sure I knew the safeties of riding a bike. Ever since that day I didn't trust anyone about my bike or others without speaking to Mr. Ira first. We bikers lost a Stand Up Guy, First Class Person, Best of the Best, but Heaven gained one of its angels back. Durdy Boys MC will truly miss you. Love and God Bless.

Ira is an inspiration to all who are going through a difficult time in their lives. Despite his prognosis, Ira had a positive outlook and was at peace with his situation. Those who came to see Ira to cheer him up, left feeling better themselves, as Ira communicated to them his outlook on life. Although Ira had an outgoing personality, he was a humble guy, seldom talking about the many accomplishments he had in his life. He and Diana made a wonderful team, and her caring for him during his illness was admired and respected by all their friends and family. We will miss our good friend Ira, and always will remember him as someone who aded greatly to our lives.
