Irene E. Abramson, 93, of Ft. Wayne, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011 at Lutheran Life Villages. She was born January 7, 1918 in Ft. Wayne and was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Emmaus Lutheran Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by four daughters, Carol (James) Franklin, of Shalimar, FL; Joyce (James) Harrold, of Wichita, KS; Gail Standiford, of Ft Wayne and Lois (William) White, of Carlsbad, CA; two sons, James Abramson and Richard (Joyce) Abramson, both of Ft. Wayne; sixteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Anise Dicke, of Ft. Wayne. She is preceded in death by her husband, William, and brother, Edward Dicke. Funeral Service is 11:00 am Friday, April 8, 2011 at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton, Winchester Rd Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. with calling one hour prior. Rev. Jonathan Meyer officiating. Visitation is 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to Emmaus Lutheran Church. www.klaehnfahlmeltonfunerals.com

So sorry about your mother and that it was so close to Edward passing.
Glad we got to see some of you at Edward's viewing. We weren't able to come to your mom's viewing. God's blessings be with you and give you peace in your memories.
