Bodnar, Irene A. It is with great sadness that the family of Irene A. Bodnar announces her passing after a brief illness on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at the age of 90 years. Irene was married to her husband of 51 years, Julius who died in 1996. Irene is lovingly remembered by her devoted children, Ann and Richard (Carol), her loving grandchildren, Benjamin and Nicholas, her two surviving sisters, Rita and Margaret, and her two surviving sisters-in-law, Katherine and Dorothy. Irene was predeceased by her brothers, Charles, Joseph, Francis, and Thomas Monette. A Celebration of Irene's life will be held at the Chas. Peter Nagel Funeral Home, 352 E. 87th St., NYC on Friday, January 6, from 2-5 & 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held in loving memory of Irene at 10AM on Saturday, January 7, at St. Stephen's of Hungary RC Church, 412 E. 82nd St. NYC.
