IRENE WARR

Irene Warr of Milner, Idaho passed from this life into the next on Monday, May 13, 2013 at her home surrounded by loving family members.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 12, 1926 to Julius and Carolyn Jensen Neumann and moved to the Milner area in 1927 where her parents and grandparents farmed and converted sagebrush to green fields. She died on that same farm.

At the age of 14, she met the love of her life, Farnum Warr and after graduating with honors from Burley High School in 1944, they were married on November 28, 1945. They continued to farm in the Milner area until Farnum's death on February 1, 2006.

Irene enjoyed playing the piano, needlework and sewing, but most of all she enjoyed being a homemaker. She never allowed her hands to be idle! She helped Farnum with a large 4-H club for 33 years, was a community reporter for the Times News for 20 years, and was the registrar of election for the Milner precinct.

Two of the many highlights in Irene's life were being selected with Dad as the Grand Marshalls of the 1990 Cassia County Fair Parade and being honored as a Centennial 4-H Family for Cassia County in 2012.

She is survived by four children, Ed (Ann) Warr of Fallbrook, California; Ken (Cherie) Warr of Murtaugh, Idaho; Carol (Wendell) Robinson of Murtaugh, Idaho and Paul (Charlene) Warr of Grass Lake, Michigan; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren as well as her sister, Lovila Hunicke of Boise, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, Farnum of 60 years; her parents, Julius and Carolyn Neumann; two sisters, Margaret Brune and Marian Wellhausen.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wendell Robinson for his daily visits and extended care of mom. She looked forward to his morning cup of coffee and Wendell reading the newspaper to her after her vision failed.

Also, a special thank you to Cherie Warr for her daily delicious home cooked meals. Mom really looked forward to those.

Mom was able to stay at her home until she died, because of the daily and loving care of her daughter Carol; the family extends their greatest appreciation.

And we would also like to express our heartfelt thanks for Mary Hilwich for her many kind courteous and daily phone calls.

A celebration of Irene's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2055 Filer Ave. East, Twin Falls with Pastor Roger Sedlmayr officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. A viewing for family and friends will take place on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at White Mortuary, 136 4th Ave. East, Twin Falls.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given in Irene's name to the LWML, the Lutheran Radio Broadcast or the Cassia County 4-H Camp Scholarship Fund. Contributions may be left with the funeral chapel staff or mailed to White Mortuary, 136 4th Ave. East, Twin Falls., ID 83301.

Services are under the direction of Trent Stimpson and staff at White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls.
