Irene E. Wenz (nee: Buyse), age 97, passed away November 9, 2013. Irene, also fondly known as "The Belgian Queen" was: the beloved wife of the late Leroy. Loving mother of Mickie (Bill) Blount, Chris (Doug) Sheppard, Greg (Jamie) Wenz and Denise (Michael) Ybarra. Proud grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 16. Visitation will be Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 3pm until 9pm with a scripture service at 7pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Township. Visitation will continue on Friday, November 15, 2013 10:30 am until time of the funeral mass 11am at St. Thecla Catholic Church 20740 S. Nunneley, Clinton Twp, MI. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Capuchins, Gleaners Food Bank or The Salvation Army.
