Iris Maxine Berry
Iris Maxine Berry 87 of Coal City passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Bowers Hospice House. Born July 29, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Arby and Florence Pack.
Iris enjoyed cooking, quilting, and her flower gardens. She was a member of the Lillybrook Freewill Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher.
In addition to her parents, Iris is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Berry; sons, Thomas Edgar Berry, Brian Keith Berry; brothers, Harold Eugene Pack, Kenneth Lee Pack; great-grandson, Michael Reed and sister, Imogene Violet Meadows.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Leslie Wayne Berry of Coal City; daughter, Sandra Drennen and husband, Denver of Brocton, NY; brother, Ronald Edward Pack and wife, Dianelle of Coal City; sister, Mable Farley; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, March 9, 2015 at Williams Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Lowell Black officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may gather with the family Monday from 11 – 12 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV.

To All of our family. Heaven has gained a dear angel but our family has lost a dear precious friend. Maxine was so sweet and a beautiful precious Christian woman. Not only was she beautiful outside but inside as well. Maxine is no longer suffering but is enjoying Heaven with her Jesus and all her dear family and friends who have gone before her. You all will be in our thots and prayers and we love you all. (We didn't know she had passed until this very moment)
