Irma "Terry" Beck, age 87, of Hayward, WI and formerly of Newark, DE, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Golden Living – Valley of Hayward.
Irma Emma was born April 22, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of Rudolph and Bertha (Gerber) Remhild. Irma "Terry" was raised in New York and graduated from Grover Cleveland High School. She worked for a short time as a bank teller in New York. On July 16, 1944 Irma was joined in marriage to Willitt "Bill" Beck in New York, NY. Irma and Bill moved to Bremerton, WA, Waukegan, IL and New York, NY while Bill was serving in the Navy. After Bill's honorable discharge, Terry and Bill moved to Newark, DE where Terry went back to work in banking as a loan officer. Terry and Bill lived in Newark for 45 years before moving to Hayward, WI in 2006. Terry was an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Newark and enjoyed bowling and painting.
Terry is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bill; one son, Douglas (Linda) Beck of Hayward, WI; two granddaughters, Jaimee Beck of Spooner, WI, Natalie Barker of Cedarville, OH; four great granddaughters, Franki Barker, Kennedy Barker, Maddie Barker, Maryn Bengs; two step grandchildren, Amy (Dave) Francis of Woodbury, MN, Kelly Albrecht of Rice Lake, WI; four step great grandchildren, Jake Sheehan, Bodie Sheehan, Jada Francis, Jackson Francis; one sister, Evelyn (Al) Salvati of Kew Gardens, NY; one nephew, Marc (Theresa) Salvati of Queens, NY.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents.
An interment service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI. Pastor Scott Ludford will officiate.

Mr. Beck and Doug, I am sorry to hear about Mrs. Beck. I will always remember Mrs. Beck as her picture in the obituary, with her wonderful smile. A lovely lady and always with the smile and a hello when we would meet on Brewster Dr just two doors down from our house. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Mr. Beck, Doug and family.
