Irvin B. Hill, 80, of Evansville, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at Deaconess Hospital. He was born March 7, 1934, in Evansville.
He graduated from Central High School. Irvin served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War Era. He was a proud 35 year teamster with Holland Dairy. Irvin was a member of the American Legion Post #265.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Carolyn E. Hill.
Irvin is survived by his sons, Randy Hill (Theresa), Bryan Hill (Anna), Kevin Hill; step-son, Porter S. Travis; sister, Ruth Knapp; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
Irvin's family would like to extend a special thanks to Karen Sue and Bob Dallas; Joyce and Paul Young; Ricky Knapp, and Mike and Theresa Moore.
Services will be held at 6:30 PM, on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Alexander East Chapel. Friends may visit from 3:00 PM until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
