Mr. Frank Taylor, age 86, of Elmore Dr., Dunn died Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his residence.





Mr. Taylor was born in Duplin County on June 5, 1930 the son of the late I. J. Taylor & Ruby Humphrey Taylor and is preceded in death by 6 brothers and 5 sisters.



Mr. Taylor was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War. It was said in the paper 2 weeks ago that “A Korean War Vet got his dying wish to catch one more fish.” He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, superintendent, choir member and very active in the Men’s Brotherhood, his greatest joy was spending with his church family as well as his family.



Frank enjoyed fishing, building, woodworking and wood craft making. He was known for his never ending compassion and beautiful, warm smile that took up his whole face. He was generous with his kindness and could brighten anyone’s day with a joke. He was a best friend to many and could encourage you with his wit. He was a sweet loving person and his life impacted not only his family but also his friends. He is lovingly remembered and will be painfully missed.



A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Davis officiating.



He is survived by: His Wife: Lena Strickland Taylor of the home.





Daughters: Katherine Quinn Canipe & (husband) Nick of Magnolia, NC



Debbie Taylor Davenport of Wallace, NC



Lynn B. Fields & (husband) Doug of Roseboro, NC

Lee Ann Yourko & (husband) Mike of Williamsburg, Va





Sons: Jimmy Bradshaw & (wife) Margie; Roger Wayne Bradshaw & (wife) Paula all of Clinton, NC





12 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren & 1 Great Great Grandchild





The family will receive friends from Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Cromartie-



Miller Funeral Home in Dunn. Two hours prior to the Memorial Service.

Mae and family, So sorry that Frank and his silly self is not going to be around to cut up with us anymore in this life! But I bet when we all get to heaven, we'll get an earful! So thankful, this is not the end, but his forever beginning! He was a wonderful man and brought a smile to all he encountered. Bet he's with Jesus talking about fishing as we speak!
