Isla Mae Allen passed away peacefully on December 25, 2012 at the age of 91. Isla Mae was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on August 9, 1921 to Dr. Homer and Ruth Alder. She graduated from Jackson High School and attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln before marrying the love of her life, Neil Curtis Allen, on Christmas Eve 1941. Neil and Isla Mae lived in Lincoln, NE until he graduated from Dental School in 1950 and moved to Oklahoma City to establish a private practice. Isla Mae raised 4 children and worked for Neil in his dental practice until he retired in 1984. She was an accomplished seamstress, golfer, and a wonderful mother. Isla Mae is survived by her husband of 71 years, Dr. Neil C. Allen; sister, Virginia Schoeff; son, Dr. Michael Allen and spouse Pia Allen; daughter, Karen Bagley, and 6 grandchildren; Kyle Allen, Michelle Determan, Britt Reece, Kourtney Ecker, James Thomas Allen, Stacie Allen and five great-grandchildren, Ryan, Raegan, and Rylee Reece, Kennedy Maness, Catherine Ecker, and several nieces and nephews. Isla Mae was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Gene Bale, and also her sons, Thomas Neil Allen and Jay Victor Allen. Visitation will be from 8am to 8pm on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper. Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper with reception to follow for family to greet friends.
