Ismael (Comejen) Ruiz, age 72 of Danbury, passed away unexpectedly Sunday February 17 at his home.
Ismael was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, on October 9, 1940. He has spent most of his life living in the Danbury area and is survived by his wife of 27 years Julia Ruiz. He is also survived by 4 children: Xiomara, Ismael Jr., Ivette, and Aileen, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind 11 brothers and sisters that cherished him dearly.
Ismael was a retired steel worker. He enjoyed watching wrestling and Chuck Norris movies. Ismael was very much loved and will be missed by family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Friday February 22nd in Saint Peter Church, Danbury. Burial will be in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Thursday February 21st from 5 thru 8pm.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I feel terrible that I wasn't there. I did not know. You were there for me and I wish I could have been there for you. You are in my prayers and family if you need anything. He is in Gods hands now and there is no place on earth that can compare with that.

I am sorry for your lost. I will keep the Ruiz family in my prayers. Ismael was a great man and he was very much loved by all his friends and family. May God give strengh and wisdom to the family through this hard time.
