Larry and I have known Isobel for a long time, as their daughter, Judy and her husband Dave, are our best friends of 42 years. We enjoyed being with Isobel and Howard over the years when they would come to Kansas City. More recently, visits to South TX to see Howard and Isobel were fun and memorable. We were fortunate to be able to celebrate Isobel's 95th birthday with her last July - she so enjoyed the day and the celebration! We are the lucky ones to have known Isobel.

In former years, there was about 12 Smilin' Sams spending the winter in south Texas and we would meet once a month. Isabel took us to so many wonderful places to eat and sights to see in their part of the Valley. Something we will never forget.
