Jack N. Guthrie, 70, of Bartonville, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Kindred Hospital in Peoria. He was born on January 9, 1947 in Paragould, Arkansas to Almas H. and Velma (Wright) Guthrie. He married Linda D. Graham on July 2, 1966 in Bartonville, Illinois. She survives.
He is also survived by two children, Brian (Andrea) Guthrie of Bartonville and Kristen (Matt) Mangold of Ft. Worth, Texas; five grandchildren, Sydney, Maci and Tanner Mangold, Sadie Guthrie and Kiley Page. He has one brother, Stan Guthrie of Victoria, Illinois and one sister, Marilyn Ryan of Peoria. He has several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Don Guthrie.
He worked as a millwright for 37 years at Caterpillar Inc. retiring in 2002. He was an Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War and was a former member of the Bartonville American Legion. He loved fishing with friends and family.
A celebration of life service will be at 4 pm Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Northwest United Methodist Church, 3800 W. War Memorial Dr. in Peoria followed by military rites. Pastor Kim Dancey will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 pm until 4 pm at the church on Sunday. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Peoria Area Honor Flight for Veterans. You may create an online condolence at www.davison-fultonbartonvillechapel.com.

So many years of memories i have of him that goes from grade school to the years at cat,carpooling, and the great time fishing and camping at Lee's.
