Jack R. Bilger, 86, of Green Springs, died Monday, June 17, 2013 at Elmwood at the Springs. He was born July 21, 1926 in Norwalk, OH the son of Howard and Margaret (Ritter) Bilger. In 1948 he married Anne Dalton, she preceded him in death in 1984. He then married Shirley Burkhard Koval in 1990, she survives. Jack was a bricklayer for Mosser Construction, a WWII veteran serving in the Navy, a member of the Bricklayers Union, Sandusky County Sportsman Conservation Club, NRA and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
Surviving are his sons: Scott (Louie) Bilger and Timothy Bilger both of Fremont, OH; Lynn Bilger of Chicago, IL; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother William Bilger; sister Sara Nigro both of Bellevue, OH . He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Anne, siblings: Ted, Ned and Howard Bilger, Nadine Kaser, Mary Brooks, Mollie Bollenbacher,Marian Beberick, Margaret Bilger, Mildred Halbertson, Pauline Thorn.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8P.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH. Funeral services will begin at 10:00A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery with military graveside rights performed by the V.F.W. and American Legion. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service was entrusted with the privilege of serving Jack's family.
