Jack G. Clifton, Sr. 85, of Brunswick, GA died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Southeast Georgia Health System.
He was born in Bulloch County, Ga., was a U.S. Navy and U.S. Army veteran and later retired as a mechanic.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Lavenia Key Clifton and second wife, Ellen Clifton; parents, John and Bertha Clifton; 1 son John Clifton; 4 brothers, William Clifton, Raymond Clifton, Hebert Clifton and Ralph Clifton and 1 sister, Louise Woodcock.
He is survived by 4 sons, Jack Clifton, Jr. (Becky), David Clifton, Leroy Clifton (Staci) and William Clifton; 2 daughters, Linda Sue and Bessie Jackson (Evan); 2 sisters, Lilia Pollack and Linda Clifton; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation: 5 – 7 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 in the Chapel of the Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory.
Interment will follow at Greenwich Cemetery.
