Jack R. Webster was born on August 29, 1946 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Donald and Margaret Webster. On April 2, 2012, surrounded by his family, he lost his long battle with kidney cancer. In 1968 Jack graduated from Tri-State College with a Bachelor's degree before joining the Department of Defense at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Indiana, as an Electrical Engineer. He also did post graduate work at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Right after graduation from Tri-State, he married his wife Leigh, beginning their 43 years together. In 1976 Jack and his family moved to Plano when he became the representative from Crane to Texas Instruments. Throughout his career of working on guidance system and electrical components for missiles, he was the Crane representative to several companies in the Dallas, Boston and Melbourne Florida areas. Upon his retirement in December of 2004, he and his wife continued to live in Plano.

Early in life Jack loved building and setting up model trains. But this eventually gave way to his interest in photography. Rarely were there any pictures of Jack because he was always the one behind the camera. He was especially proud of the pictures that he took during their trip to the Grand Canyon and the various national parks in Utah. But one thing that Jack enjoyed throughout his life was working around the house. He was a very good handy man. Whether he was installing shelves or replacing the baseboards in the house, Jack was always working to make improvements and repairs to their home.

Jack is survived by his wife Leigh, his 3 children; Steven Webster, Jill Price, and Janet and her husband David Hawks, as well as his 3 grandchildren; Jackson Price, and Carter and Camryn Hawks. Additionally, his father Donald Webster, sisters and their spouses; Jo Ann and Bob Bird; Dorothy and Ken Lawrence; nephew, John Lawrence, niece Annie Lawrence, sister-in-law Susan Kwast and nephew Carl Kwast survive Jack. Jack is predeceased by his mother Margaret Webster. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorials be made to the .
