Jack Hart Wilson, 80, of Hartburg, Texas died December 4, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Orange, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; daughters, Carol Ward and husband Ray, Laura Lemmond and husband Dean; grandchildren, Jackie Rathgeber and husband Paul, Christi Maddox and husband Heath; great-grandchildren, Jack and Charlie Rathgeber, Trevor and Kobe Maddox and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Mr. Jack H. Wilson will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Patti (Wallace) Farmer

Shirley, Carol, Laura & Families

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of Jack. I have fond memories of him from years past being funny and very kind hearted. I think when the Wallace's, Wilson's & Bundy's were neighbors & close friends the parents from each family sort of became surrogate parents for each of the children of these families and they've always been very special to me.I've thought of each family many times through the years with sweet memories and have missed everyone.

I know the pain your feeling right now, I pray for God's peace and love to help you through these difficult days of saying goodbye and weeks and months to come. In time the pain will become more tolerable, lean on each other and your friends to help make it through your grief.

I hope Daddy, Bill & Mary meet Jack at the pearly gates with lots of love and laughter to rekindle their old friendships.

Heartfelt love to you all,
Patti

Aunt Shirley,
You know Uncle Jack was only ten years older than me so growing up he was my hero. Looking at the picture of him in his youth reminded me that when Jack would roll up his sleves I would as well. When he got Shirley Hill as a girlfriend it confirmed my thoughts he was so "cool". Sadly I can't be there but there will always be a "Big Jack" in my heart. "Little Jack"
