Jacob "Allen" Grove was born on August 31, 1948 to Davidella and Jacob Grove in Hillsboro, Tx. He graduated in 1971 from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. In November 1971, he was drafted into the army and served 2 years during the Vietnam War. Over the years, Allen worked as a safety engineer for MD Anderson, Texas Instruments, Raytheon, and L-3. In 1976, Allen met his wife Kathy in Houston, TX where they proceeded to marry and have two children, Nicole and Jake. In 1986, Allen and his family moved to Plano, TX where he lived the remainder of his life. Allen passed away suddenly on November 30, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Kathy Grove; daughter Nicole and husband Rob, son Jake and wife Leslie, sister Peggy and husband John, nieces Karen and Sheryl. Allen was most proud of his grandson Jacob "Alex" Grove who will grow up listening to the wonderful stories about his Grandpa. He is also survived by many close family members and friends who will always love him and cherish his memory. Allen was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching and coaching baseball, basketball, football, and golf. He and his wife Kathy also spent much of their time traveling to visit friends Ronnie and Aureliane in Malaysia, France, Italy, England, and Alaska. Allen was a devoted father and husband who above all enjoyed spending time with his family and lifelong friends. He is loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Uncle Allen ~ you left us too soon! I know it is all a part of Gods plan, but that doesn't make it any easier for us to bear! Your sudden, unexpected departure reminds us not to take someone or the time that we have with them for granted because you never know what tomorrow will bring! "Yesterday is History, Tomorrow a Mystery, Today is a Gift, That's why it's called the Present!"
Love & miss you!
