Jacques Lind Brown was born in Detroit, Michigan, on February 24, 1975, the older of two children.
His education was achieved in the Detroit Public School System. He graduated with honors from the Breithaupt Career and Technical Center in the Culinary Arts Program. He won numerous medals and awards nationwide for his culinary abilities. He had such a passion for food that he took his certification and turned it into a career and way of life. He held several positions from Prep Cook, Sous chef, to Interim Executive Chef. His last held position was a Sous Chef at Mon Ami Gabi off the Las Vegas Strip. He shared this love with family, friends, and anyone else he met.
Jacques could regularly be seen riding in his car listening to old school rap and R&B. As a social butterfly, he was known for getting the party started (literally). Before he even walked in the room, you knew he was there from his contagious, infectious laugh. A big kid at heart, he loved spending time with his children and nephew.
He married Taketa Lowe on August 20, 2005. They remained united in love and marriage until his passing. Together they were co-parenting two children, Bryce and Brooke. As a husband, father, and "family man", he was a shimmering example of loyalty and faith. He was a protector and one who exhibited deep, unconditional love and pride for his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Taketa; two children, Bryce and Brooke; parents, Chip and Mona; sister, Jacquay; nephew, Gavin; and a host of family and friends.

My darling son. It's been 9 years since I've seen you last. Yes I'm holding up but I miss you and daddy very much! I've met some very thoughtful friends that make sure I'm okay. Jacquay and Gavin are with me in Toledo, your sister is a fantastic cook, she makes sure everyday that we eat well. Gavin will be 20 this year, he's very loving and attentive. I can't wait to see you again and hug you. I love you, mama.

I know that losing your son have left a large hole in your heart that will never fully heal until he is back in your loving arms alive. But until that time comes, work as hard as you can to avail yourself of all the different ways Jehovah can provide you comfort. One way is knowing that Jehovah understands completely the deep pain of losing a son because he lost His favorite son a long time ago. I love you and will be constantly praying for you.
From your adopted son

Taketa, Jacq was your 2nd heartbeat, your best friend, and teenage love, words can't express my sympathies that go out to you & your family for such a great loss he will truly be missed- draw close to Jehovah during this time & he will help you get through this.
Quay, Jacq was the ultimate brother & friend to you I can't imagine how you're feeling now but he always knew just the right things to say or just the right joke to fix any problem. Remember all the memories you shared with him and remember he hated to see you sad, so please continue to be you and stay positive, strong, and laughing because that's what he would have wanted.
To the Brown & Lowe family, my deepest sympathies go out to you all for the son, brother-in-law, son-in-law, uncle, cousin, and nephew that you have just lost. He had such a great heart & an infectious smile & personality. You all will continue to be in my prayers!

To the Brown family, you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. As you know, Jehovah will carry you throughout your times of need and beyond. I would never venture to say that I understand what you are going through. However I have had the privilege of Jehovah blessing me with Holy Spirit to make it through some really hard times, I my hope is that you too can receive the same comfort and strength.

Jacques was so laid back and easygoing! I loved taste testing his meals as a teen and he had one of the most infectious, memorable laughs that I've ever heard. He was my other brother and would often tease me for my height. Such a great guy and such a great loss. My heart aches for Taketa, Mona, Quay & Chip. Love always-
