Jadwiga S. Bell, 96, of the Highlands, passed away Wednesday, September 14, at the Eastern Star Home. She was a native of Poland. She met her late husband Theodore James Bell in Germany. They were married in 1946, and came to the United States in 1948. They had 3 children. She was retired from the Baptist Hospital, loved to cook for her family, and garden. She is survived by her 3 loving children; Barbara Sanders, Irene Bell, and Theodore James Bell, her 3 grandchildren; Dale Sanders, Kylene Bell, and Courtney Nasby, her 2 great-grandsons; Tyler Sanders and Lionel Nasby, and her great-great-granddaughter Piper Sanders. "Family meant everything to her"
Services to celebrate Mrs. Bell's life will be held at 10 am Monday by Dr. David Platt, in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. with interment to follow at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2-7 pm.

I enjoyed being part of the pharmacy team at Walgreens on Baxter Ave. who took care of Mrs. Bell's pharmacy needs for several years. She was always strong willed and ready to express herself. We had many fun and lively conversations. My sincere thoughts and prayers to the family for your loss.

So sorry for your loss. What a good long, long life Jadwiga enjoyed. So many cannot say the same. She was one of those the Bible call especially , especially strong. Ps. 90:10

I enjoyed being part of the team taking care of Mrs. Bell at Eastern Star Home. We had a few good talks and shared some laughs. She was a loving person and she made everybody here at the home love her very quickly. It was our honor to care for her in her last days. My deep condolences to her loved ones and thank you for sharing her with us for a time. God bless and keep you in this time of sorrow. Be assured you all are in our thoughts.
