James "Jim" B. Hoffman, 76, of Pensacola, FL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Covenant Hospice, in West Florida Hospital.
Jim was an unforgettable character of a man. After serving 20 years in the US NAVY, stationed in Vietnam and all over the world, he retired in Pensacola, FL in 1991. He worked as an owner/barber of Jim's Barber Shop on Michigan Avenue for another 20 years. He made a long-lasting impression on everyone he met, and will be truly missed by his family, friends, and community. James is survived by his dedicated wife of 25 years, Dolores Bagazin and 4 loving daughters, Lovely Hoffman, Katina Hoffman, Shiralee Hoffman, and Jacqueline Carter. He is also survived by his sister, Sara Jane Sloan, nephews, Mark Sloan and Tom Sloan, and great nephew, Scott Sloan. He will be dearly missed by fellow barbers and many friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Oak Lawn Funeral Home on Sunday, November 27, 2016. Funeral services for Jim will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church at 12:30pm-1:30pm, Monday, November 28, 2016. Jim will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial at St. Anne's Family Life Center. Oak Lawn Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

So sorry about Jim ,he was one of a Kind.I only wish i knew him longer than i did. Ever time i see a garbage can i will think of Jim and a newspaper. Most mornings it would be on the porch.I think of him ever day. God Bless the family. Don Mixon

Uncle Jim was a great guy. Favorite son of Thelma Hoffman, favorite brother of Sarajane Anderson. My favorite uncle. Mom used to say there are three ways, right, wrong, and Jim's way. The pictures show his loving family. Jim talked me into having another child at my age. Cody is now 4, and Jim was right, thank you uncle Jim.
