Jim's local legacy will live on every time I walk the Royal Shenandoah Greenway. His enthusiasm, vision, and passion were all displayed in this project. Emily: I was a long time employee of Jim and he made the job fun. I bet if he is looking down at us now he is saying words to the effect 'Stop the grief - get on with your lives' I know he would be wording above much better than I am.
He never had a cross word for anyone and did his job well. If Bob or I can ever do anything for you and your family, please let us know. June and Bob Niblock.

Dear Emily and family,

When your brother called me about the death of Jim, my
prayers, thoughts and love went out to you and your family.
Although I only met him twice, I do recall a Thanksgiving
meal at your sister, Ricky's home. After a great meal, we were all ready to just let our food digest, not Jim, he told
us we are are going out caroling......Always up and ready
to go. I know his friends and family will miss him deeply.
As a widow going on 17 years, I still miss my Joe. Take
courage, Emily it does get better, but the hole in your life
and heart will always be there.

God Bless and may HE give you and family the strength to
go on without him around.

With deepest sympathies,
Yvonne Emilie Stinson Cain, Your brother's wife Pat is my
sister.

I have no words to describe the sorrow you (and friends and family) are experiencing. with a heavy heart I took an old song and tweaked the lyrics:
From this Valley they say you are going
We will miss your bright eyes and sweet smile....
For you know you are taking the sunshine
That has brightened our paths ere awhile..
Just remember the Shenandoah Valley and the dear friends who loved you so true
