Big Jim was born, December 2, 1937 in Tarkio, MO to Glenn Russell and Dorothy Christine Mitchell Wade. Jim was an Ironworker for most of life; starting at the age of 16, and was involved in building countless bridges and buildings all through Missouri. In the 1960’s the family lived in Panama while he worked on the Canal Bridge as well as other notable sites including the Hearnes Center and several of the University buildings in Columbia, MO. He worked for 15 years at the Nuclear Power Plant in Callaway County. Jim was an active Mason, and to say that grossly understates his involvement; he has served since 1962 in nearly all surrounding groups and was a 50-year member of five.

A brother, Kenneth Wade, and his parents preceded him in death.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Shrines Hospital for Children, 4400 Clayton Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110 or to Dripping Springs Church 2701 W. Dripping Springs Road, Columbia, MO 65202.

I had not heard that my cousin Jim had passed away. Blessings to the family. I gladly remember the family get togethers on the farm as our family would be passing on our way to a new military assignment.

Our sympathy and condolences in regard to this huge loss to the community and the Masonic Fraternity. Bro. Jim was very well known by members of the Fraternity.
He was particularly known for his ritualistic work in Freemasonry. Jim and I were longtime members of the same Masonic groups. I will miss our phone conversations as due to health reasons I am no longer able to attend meetings.
Fondly & Fraternally,
