Dad thinking of you everyday took me awhile to sit here and figure out what to say,you gave us all knowledge, taught me right from wrong, broke my heart when you moved to Florida, so I moved there too help you and mom, you left a lot of broken hearts, you are now in heaven with peace and with your loved ones, sisters and brother, and your three sons, and grandson you all can now look down from above and give us all the strength too move forward, it will take time but I am going to be thinking of you everyday, and taking care of mom like I promised you, I will remember all that you did for us and all that you accomplished in life, love you DAD and proud to call you my Father xx

Thinking of you all today...it is a difficult thing, saying goodbye....the sorrow can be consuming. Hug your memories, talk amongst yourselves...you, your sister and brother...and friends...share, share, share. Speak his name, often, especiially to your mom, and to each other. There's never a day goes by that our son Mike's name is not mentioned in some context or other, and your Uncle Mike's as well...they leave so many memories behind, how could it not be that way? The memories will be your strength right now, and will always be there for you to draw on. Eventually, they will help ease the sorrow, but it takes time, and the "time" it takes is different for everyone...there is no timetable that "must" be met. Your heart will hurt...the "how can this be" will come to mind and the tears will come. But remember that tears are healing; they are actually a gift. And, of course, your dad was a gift, also. A treasure for you all to hold in your heart and think of whenever you hurt and want to smile. He is there with you all...his spirit lives on in those he left behind and it always will be...always.

Heaven will be a happier place with you in it. I will remember you as the smiling, witty, funny story teller you always were. I can easily imagine you telling Saint Pete a funny joke upon your arrival in heaven. I will never forget your infectious laugh. Your loyalty was unsurpassed. You would always lend a helping hand sometimes even to complete strangers. Those who were lucky enough to call you friend will miss you dearly. My life was richer for having known you. May you RIP.
