Guy and Bess Aldridge welcomed their son, James W. (Jim) Aldridge into their lives on May 16 1953. He left this earth and the people that he loved to reunite with loved ones lost on January 7, 2012. He is preceded in death by parents Guy and Bess Aldridge and Son Christopher James Aldridge. Survivors are wife Gina Holstein Aldridge, stepson Thomas K. Holstein, granddaughter Emily K. Holstein and sister Patricia A. Finch. Jim was, as many know, a master of his craft. In his craft, he not only became their builder but also became his customer's friend. Jim touched the lives of many and will be missed by all who knew him. God has one more angel to live with him today..,
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 12 at 11 am in the Chapel of Goetz Funeral Home.

Jim and I always talked about the fishing trip we were going to take together. We would sit in the front yard and make all kind of plans on what we were going to do. He loved to fish at the coast and so do I, but something always came up and we were never able to go. We would tell our fishing stories and the fish always seem to get bigger and bigger when we told them. I am going to miss not going on that fishing trip with him, but more than that I am going to miss sitting in the front yard with him making plans and telling our stories. I miss you Jim.

Jim was a wonderful caring person. Even though he had bigger jobs than what I needed, he would always take the time and fix what ever it was I needed. He would give me the care and attention as if it was a big job. I will never be able to look out my windows without thinking of him, but my fondest memory of Jim was when he would be on the tractor. He would be plowing the field up with the most serene look, he looked like he didn't have a care in the world when he was on it. He would always wave and say I am going to have to wash your car when I am finish because of all the dust I'm kicking up. God has taken Jim home now to be with his son. I will miss that sweet smile and that wave on the tractor. May God grant peace and comfort to all the loved ones that Jim leaves behind.

Although I had not seen Jim for many years, I have thought of him quite often, remembering our younger, wilder days and reminiscing over fun/foolish things that we had done. Jim, you will always be in my memories!
