James Alexander passed away on November 3, 2012, in Grand Junction, CO. He was 51 years old.

He was born on February 15, 1961, in Grand Junction to Charles and Mary Alexander. James graduated high school in 1979. Then he attended the Denver Institute of Technology in 1980, where he obtained a certificate in Heating, Cooling & Refrigeration.

James worked in San Antonio, TX, from 1982 – 1991 as a construction worker on high-rise hotels. He then returned to Colorado. In 1999, he started classes at Mesa State College, receiving an Associate Degree in Applied Science in 2006, specializing in Auto-Cad.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Ducks Unlimited. James enjoyed skiing, music, guitar, tennis, bowling, golfing with friends, and Tai-Kwando.

James leaves behind his father, a WWII Veteran; Charles Alexander of Grand Junction. CO.
two sisters: Amy Alexander, of Grand Junction, CO; and Connie Grotepas, of Salt Lake City, UT.

A Visitation for James will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Martin Mortuary between 6 pm and 8 pm. A Memorial Service is planned for Friday, November 9, 2012, at 11:00 am at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens Cemetery; Rev. Charles Grimsley will be officiating.
