JAMES ANDREW (SEKSAY) ANDERSON, most recently a resident at Rae Ann Suburban Nursing Facility in Westlake, passed away on June 3rd, 2014, at the facility that has been his home for the past several years. Jim was the eldest child of James and Eleanor (Humbert) Seksay and was born at their residence in the mining town of Colonial #3 adjacent to Grindstone, PA on Sept. 15th, 1941. His birth name was James Andrew Seksay, but as an adult he legally changed his surname to Anderson. Jim attended school in Carmichaels, PA and graduated from Cumberland Township High School in the Class of 1959 with honors. He was the co-captain of his high school basketball team and considered Most Likely to Succeed by his classmates. He worked for several years on the surveying teams of Lawyers Title Insurance Company before becoming disabled in 1977. He lived in Cleveland after his parents' passing until moving to Rae Ann for his senior years. Jim was a devout Roman Catholic all his life. Jim enjoyed science and greatly admired Albert Einstein. He also admired the presidents and generals who steered our nation through the Second World War. Jim often had a book on one of his favorite topics close by and was always eager to discuss them. Jim is survived by his three siblings: Janet Szymanski of Blackstone, MA, John Seksay and his partner Greg Brookbank, of Indianapolis, IN, and Edward Seksay and his spouse Patricia Dandrow of Cohasset, MA. He is also remembered by the surviving aunts from his extensive family, Mrs. Margaret Frank of Mentor, OH, Mrs. Carol Gerda, of Cleveland, OH, and Mrs. Shirley Kereszi of Aurora, CO. In addition there are many cousins in Cleveland and elsewhere, plus multiple nephews and nieces spread across the United States. Jim is preceded in death by his father, James Stephen "Hank" Seksay, and his mother, Eleanor Lorraine Humbert Seksay, both originally from Grindstone, PA, and lastly residents of Cleveland, OH. Visitation is scheduled with CORRIGAN-CRACIUN FUNERAL HOME at 14768 Lorain Ave., Cleveland, on FRIDAY JUNE 13th, 2014 from 6 PM to 8 PM.
