Kendrick Anthony, 92, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS from 6-8pm Wednesday, December 12 and 1pm Thursday, December 13 with services to follow at 2pm. There will be no graveside service.
He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. After his military service, he worked in the food service industry, eventually retiring from Sysco. As a Master Mason, he was active in the Capitol Lodge #600 and Mt. Salus Lodge #595. He also enjoyed playing the harmonica for friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Hazle K. Anthony; daughter, Regina Birdwell of Clinton, MS; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, James "Red" Anthony, Jr.; parents, Marion Glynn and Levi
Slaughter Anthony; brothers, Marion Glynn Anthony, Jr., J. D. Anthony, and twin brother, Marion Kermit Anthony.

No words can tell you the depth of my sorrow for you both at the loss of Kendrick in your daily lives. He was a very special person to me and to Jim. Hazle and Regina, we can't tell you how saddened our hearts are over Kendrick's death. He was a Prince of a man! What a Christmas celebration he will experience this year!! Voyce and I loved him dearly, and we'll never see the beautiful azaleas in front of Pineview without thinking of him. Please always remember how much we love both of you.
