Obituary

James R. Avery died unexpectedly at his home in Oolitic, IN on July 29, 2012. He was 67 years old. Jim was born in Herrin, IL to the late James Loren and Nellie Weddle Avery. He worked at RCA/Thomson for more than 40 years before retiring in 2000.Jim was an avid IU sports fan and he loved mushroom hunting. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Felicia Avery, his brother Billy Barrow and his sister Mary Margaret Barrow.Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. in Day Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 12 p.m. also in the funeral home followed by burial in Clover Hill Cemetery.
