PEORIA- James "Jim" F. Bachman, 78, of Peoria, passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on September 20, 1932 in Buffalo Hart Twp, IL, a son of Ernest and Elsie Batch Bachman, he married Margaret "Margie" Richmon. She preceded him in death on February 10, 1993 in Peoria.
He is also preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are one brother, Ernie (Jeanne) Bachman of Bartonville; one sister, Evelyn (Harvey) Burdette of Pekin; and his step-son, Jimmie Washington of Peoria.
Jim worked as a Crane Operator and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 649 in Peoria. He previously owned the Adam St. Bicycle Repair Shop in Peoria.
Cremation rites accorded. Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation in Peoria are in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery at a later date.
