To the Bagby Family,
I convey my heartfelt condolences to you and the family. Dr. Bagby was a long time friend and support of me in the Jamestowne Society. I wish to share a treasured memory with you and that is: In April 1992, I literally was walking in my house after spending a week in Charleston, S. C., when my late husband told me I had a long distant phone call from Richmond, VA. At that time, I did not know Dr. Bagby and could not believe my ears when he asked me would I serve on the National Council of the Jamestowne Society as a vacancy had come open and he had conferred with the Nominating Committee about me. Now, when I look back 21 years later, it is all so surreal. I might add this was a dream come true and literally changed my life for the better.
Respectfully,
DeEtte DuPree Nesbitt

Governor 1998-2000
