James Beach Obituary

Retired Master Sargent, James C. Beach, 80, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014.

He was a Veteran of 23 years in the US Air Force and served during Vietnam. He was also a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and was retired from Newton Chevrolet. Jim had an immense love for his family, especially his grandchildren, and a soft spot for animals.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Theresa J. Beach; two daughters, Debbie Harris and Lisa Spurlock; one son, Joe (Julie) Beach; and six grandchildren, Tyler (Kate) Spurlock, Jacksonville, FL, Chase Spurlock, Savannah Spurlock, Ryan Harris, Drew Beach and Luke Beach.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 27, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Hwy 153.

Graveside services will follow at 1:30 PM at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Bailey Avenue with Father Charlie Burton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.

Though I never actually met Mr Beach in person I have spoken with him on occasion, and Heard so much about Him and his family through my niece (Julie Beach) and her Mother (my sister Belinda).
