Jim was a very good close friend...I will miss him tremendously! I will miss that name popping up on my phone.. I would look down and go JIM BELOW. He was always upbeat and made my day when he called. He always had a funny story and we laughed lots! I talked to him every week for years. He was my mentor, my friend and an all around great guy! I WILL MISS HIM.

I send sympathies to all of Jim's family and friends. We became friends competing against each other on the basket ball court beginning in 1963. We would see each other on occasion for the next 53 years. He was a "class" guy.

Jimmy Joe, you will be missed. I was certainly looking forward to our 50th High School Reunion. I was going to try real hard to get you to come. I consider you one of my best friends in high school. We had a lot of good time playing Volleyball for 4 years at Delta. My sympathy to your family.
