Offering sincere condolences to the family of Jim Boggs. We're just learning of his passing.

During the years of the Jimmy Carter presidency, the Boggs family lived on a quiet cul-de-sac (Monterey Court) in a neighborhood full of children – very close to the airport where Jim worked with Eastern Airlines.

On a side note, we were all very saddened to learn that Jim's son, Jay Boggs, had passed away at such a young age.

First, let me say how very sorry I am for your loss. Jim was a good friend and wonderful boss. More importantly, Jim was a lucky man the day you (Bev) walked into his life...he was certainly blessed. Suzi and John, I didn't get the opportunity to know you, but your dad adored you to the moon and back. Deepest condolence. Love and prayers for strength and healing.

Beverly and John,

It's Christmas morning and I just read your email about Jim. Please know that I am praying for you and your family and feel great sadness with you. Jim meant a lot to our family - one of the longest friendships our family had. He and Dad were such dear friends from the Army days. Mom said he was the only man who would dance with her when she was 9 months pregnant - such a gentleman. I just found a picture of them together in Branson (2001). It was so cute!
I trust that he is now at peace and seeing his old Army buddy Ron! May God's love bring you the peace and comfort that only He can bring. Love, Pam Bishop Roof and family

I met Jim when I first started working for Eastern Airlines in 1970 in St. Louis. Through fate, I was to run into him again when he married my dear friend Beverly and we have kept in touch over the years. Jim is one of the most capable people I have ever met and his repeated successes both in the military and with Eastern Airlines proved without a doubt what a competent professional he is. I will always remember the great times we shared together during his tenure in the Atlanta area during the 70's and I know everyone who knows him will sorely miss him.

He will always be remembered in my prayers.

Jim Boggs was a very kind, thoughtful and generous person. Friendship came easily to us. He was more than a friend. He was someone I admired for his good spirit throughout a challenging illness. He never once complained about anything or criticized anyone. More impressively he never lost hope. Though he never said it in words he fought to the end to assure that he, Beverly and John would fulfill their shared dream of making it back to Goodland, Florida.

Jim was blessed with a most wonderful and loving partner in Beverly, his son, John, daughter, Suzi and son in law, Don and brother, Robert. His family became our family. Love endures.

Jim was always so uplifting to be around - an inspiration! He was always such a gentleman in very sense of the word. I will miss him and his charming personality. The 5 of us (Jim, Beverly, John, Lee and myself) had some fun times and some hearty laughs. My life is richer for having known Jim whom I felt was a true friend. The Boggs will always be in my thoughts and heart.
Love, Carol
