Jim was a blessing to me to help care for. He was so funny and nice. He loved his entire family and always looked so forward to worshiping with the Zion church members. May Gods grace be with you during this time. Margaret

Jim was a wonderful person, so kind and sweet, I used to drive him and his sister inlaw to Zion, he was a joy to be around, I will miss him, Dorothy Kangas

I will always remember Jim fondly for many things but especially for a time when I went to Colonial lanes to try to join the Zion men's bowling league! Well the first time I tried, Jim said that the league was all filled up but when a space opened up, he would call me! True to his word, a space opened in the league and he called me and as they say, the rest is history! I've been bowling ever since in this league and have enjoyed myself immensely! Jim was a tremendous man and I also had the priviledge of bowling on Jim's team! Thanks for
your zest for life and for your friendship! I will miss
you very very much

Jim Davis was a wonderful man.

I enjoyed his many stories.
His wife having dinner ready for him at 5:00 pm sharp.
He worked at U/M Printing, retired, they brought him back. And even when he retired at 83 years old, he babysat for a little boy across the street; and was his bowling league treasurer.
He and his wife looked forward to every weekend so they could go dancing.
How he made hamburger pie for his girls (similar to what they had at their Brownie outings).

He had a great sense of humor and it was fun to share a good laugh with him.

There were many sad stories; but, he always gave them a humorous twist.

Like his mother, who used the savings he sent home while he was in the army. When he returned home after the war, he asked to see his savings account. His Mom had bought a house with it. “She always said ‘Jim will take care of me' and I sure did !”

Jim was always mentally sharp. His eyesight wasn't that good in the last years, so I would help him read the fine print. This meant he and I could get together often. I will miss our companionship.
